To open a behavioral health case or access services with Santa Barbara County, call the Department of Behavioral Wellness 24/7 Access Line at (888) 868-1649. This toll-free number handles screenings for mental health and substance use treatment, and guides individuals through the county care process. The intake staff will ask a series of questions about current symptoms, insurance coverage, and need for care to determine eligibility for specialty mental health or substance use disorder services.
