Growing Grounds Downtown

 

Do you love Growing Grounds Downtown store? Do you have a very flexible schedule? Are you friendly, warm, welcoming - but have the ability to explain to people that they need to wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, and wait until other shoppers leave the store? Growing Grounds Downtown is looking for volunteers who can replace staff, sometimes at the last minute, to greet customers and enforce COVID-related rules. San Luis Obispo: SLO Hotline Call Handler

 

Please submit an application (linked at the bottom of this page) if you're interested in being contacted for the next SLO Hotline training, which might not be until February 2021. One of our signature volunteer positions! (Internships available!) Call Handlers are trained to staff the County’s only 24-hour mental health support, information, crisis and suicide prevention line. The 32-hour training involves professional development unmatched by traditional volunteer programs. Participants learn communication skills, gain knowledge of mental health topics, and receive training to be a resource specialist.
