Rancho Hermosa

Rancho Hermosa, fully occupied in 2011, is a 47 unit affordable housing community in Santa Maria, primarily for families. There are also 4 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom units that are funded by The Department of Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Services' (ADMHS) Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) housing funds, which allow for individuals and families that are receiving services from Supportive Housing Services (SHS) to reside at Rancho Hermosa. Also, families that have children with mental health issues have an opportunity to reside at Rancho Hermosa. The entire complex is managed by the Housing Authority of Santa Barbara County (HASBC). The Santa Maria Recovery Learning Community (RLC) is also located on the site in a 2,000 square foot space provided rent-free. The RLC presence allows all adults that so choose to receive peer run mental health services close to home.
