Art of Recovery Show
Art of Recovery is a community art show in celebration and support of living mentally well. Art of Recovery was developed to offer people with mental illnesses a way to artistically express themselves and to provide a venue for sharing their art, feelings, thoughts and messages with the general public. It was designed to help the public see that the mentally ill should not be defined in terms of their illnesses but instead by their strengths, gifts and by the contributions they make to society. In partnership with the Healing Arts Council of Santa Barbara County (HACSB), we are pleased to announce the 2013 Art of Recovery Show is coming to Santa Maria and entries are now being accepted from San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties. Please contact the art coordinator, Jessica Woodman at (805) 928-0139 or(805) 865-1947, by email at JWoodman@t-mha.org, or visit the Art of Recovery Show page.
